Dr. Robles is currently the President of the Cavite State University (CavSU) in Indang, Cavite, having been appointed in October 2016. He demonstrated his leadership and management expertise in the academe as:

Dr. Robles completed international and national training courses and workshops/seminars in the areas of fisheries, aquaculture, administrative service, gender and development, public administration, management development, project development and management, disaster preparedness and campus security management, and leadership in higher education for sustainable development, among many others. He undertook research and wrote and presented papers in international conferences. His studies ranged from lived experiences of university basketball players, to indigenous education, aquaculture, and fishery laws and policies.
He passed government examinations, namely, Professional Board Examination for Teachers in 1982 and Fishery Biologist Examination in 1980. Passing several career service exams, he was conferred a Career Executive Officer Rank VI by the Civil Service Commission in 2007.
As an academician, he is Assessor of the Regional Quality Assurance Team of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in Region IV; an Accreditor in the Accrediting Association of Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (AACCUP); and an Accreditor of the CHED Institutional Sustainability Assessment.
His awards include recognition for outstanding and exemplary service in CavSU and in Judge Guillermo Memorial School of Fisheries (now Southern Luzon State University). In the year 2000, he was bestowed with the Outstanding Citizen of Naic award in the education sector.
His past and present affiliations as leader or member in professional and civic organizations include the Southern Tagalog Agriculture and Aquatic Research and Development Consortium; Southern Tagalog Regional Association of Universities and Colleges; Asian Universities Association of Presidents; Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges; National Educators Academy of the Philippines; Philippine Society for Public Administration; Philippine Association of School Superintendents; Knights of Columbus; Kiwanis Club of Naic; and the CavSU-Naic Alumni Association, Inc.
Dr. Robles represents the PRRM Cavite Chapter in the PRRM Board of Trustees.
